Opening Hours
Please see below the opening hours for both Hadleigh Health Centre and Boxford Mill Surgery. The reception is staffed throughout this time. Please note that between 0700 and 0800 we are still covered by Suffolk Doctors On Call and telephone lines do not open until 0800 each morning.

Open Access
Part of The NHS Modernisation Plan targets, is to improve access for patients to see a Doctor. We feel it is important to continue to improve your access to us and have therefore introduced a new improved appointment system at the Hadleigh Health Centre.
Patients will be offered an appointment with a Doctor on the same morning you contact us. We would encourage you to book a morning appointment if possible. You will not be asked if your need is urgent or routine because all appointments will be the same.
We understand that in certain circumstances it will be necessary for you to book ahead and you can do this for the afternoon appointments.
To book a morning appointment you will need to telephone the surgery on the morning you wish to be seen. You will be given an appointment time for that morning with a Doctor and we will endeavour to offer this with the Doctor of your choice. Blood Tests Appointments
The practice has a regular phlebotomy service at both Hadleigh and Boxford. The practice offers a large number of phlebotomy appointments. However, because of the ever increasing range and complexity of conditions that are now managed by GPs there is immense pressure on blood test appointments. If you are able to attend the hospital for tests we would be grateful as it helps ease this pressure. You must make an appointment for a blood test.
Blood tests take between a few hours and a few days (sometimes even longer) to come back. Your doctor may wish you to see him or her once the results are back, or may alternatively ask you to telephone for the results. It is important that you are able to prove your identity when phoning.
For tests of a very confidential nature (Hepatitis B, HIV etc.) we will not discuss results over the telephone at all. For such results you must make an appointment to see the doctor once you know that the results are back
