Trained at Barts (St Bartholomews Hospital Medical School in London), qualifying in 1978. I completed my pre-registration 'House Jobs' at Bart's and Whipps Cross Hospital. I did my GP vocational training scheme in Winchester. I'm married to Mandy who is a University History Lecturer and have two sons; one is studying medicine in London and the other a Graduate Surveyor. I'm very keen on the holistic approach to family medicine. These days I'm an increasingly inactive sportsman, but still enjoy golf, cricket and football from the touchline.

Born and educated in the South West, I studied Medicine at Nottingham University School of Medicine, graduating in 1984. Having returned to Exeter to do my pre-registration year, I then moved to Ipswich and stayed in East Anglia ever since. I was on the Ipswich VTS and joined the Hadleigh Boxford Group Practice in 1988. My medical interests include Diabetes, Family Planning and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. I am married with two sons.

He is a Psychiatrist at Colchester General. We lived in Hertfordshire for 8 years and I worked as a GP in Potters Bar. We moved to East Anglia in 2001 when he got offered his job in Colchester, hence my arrival as a partner in Hadleigh. We have three children Leuan, Ffion and Rhian who keep us both on our toes! I work part time 3 days a week. My interests include being a busy mother of three, gardening, keeping fit, skiing, walking and cooking. I am the Practice GP Trainer and have interests in Mental Health and in particular Obesity.

I came down to Suffolk to do my GP training intending to only stay 3years but find myself still here. I trained at St. Thomas' Hospital and did my GP training in Aberystwyth and in the

Snowdonia National Park. I joined the practice in 1991. I try to combine modern general practice with the best of traditional family medicine. I am also on the local medical committee. My outside interests are my wife! And three teenage girls, dog, three chickens and a vegetable garden. I have also taken up horse riding initially to keep up with the girls but seem to have caught the bug in a big way and I am never certain whether it is the horses or the girls who cause me more trouble!

Dr Matthew Glason

MB,BS,DFFP

Brought up in East Anglia. Qualified in 1986 from the Royal Free Hospital, London. Then promptly joined the Royal Navy. Spent over two years at sea followed by vocational training both within the RN as well as NHS hospitals before marrying and then spending a further two years looking after service families in Gibraltar.

After a short spell in occupational health training roles joined the Practice in 1996. Married with one daughter. Main interests are in sports related injuries and dermatology and also run the Respiratory clinics. Outside interests are travel, sailing and skiing.
