Phase Three - COVID-19 Vaccination Boosters

Covid-19 Boosters

Our practice WILL be delivering the covid vaccination boosters for those eligible. These are given six months after receiving your 2nd vaccination. Due to the increased demand for our service and the challenges we face delivering this with our normal service, we will be running some large sessions off site.  Our first session will be on the 30 October at St Mary's Church in Hadleigh.  Patients aged 70 and over have been invited to this session.  Our plan is to organise additional sessions in November.  Alternatively if patients are not able to attend or do not wish to wait to be called, then please telephone 119 or online https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ to organise an appointment at another vaccination site.

Covid-19 Vaccinations 12-15 Year Olds

We are also waiting further guidance on COVID-19 vaccinations for the 12-15 year olds. We understand that these vaccinations will be administered at school – once we have more information, we will be able to advise further.

We ask that you do not call us about your flu vaccination or covid vaccination as this puts additional pressure on our busy telephone lines – thank you.

COVID vaccine status

The Government has annouced that from 17 May 2021, people will be able to demonstrate their COVID-19 vaccine status for travelling purposes, by accessing the NHS app, or by calling 119. Patients are strongly advised not to contact their GP to prove their vaccine status.

We are unable to issue this certificate at the practice.  Please see the Gov.uk website for further information.

Proof of your vaccination status will be available on the NHS App, which is also valuable for accessing your health records and ordering repeat prescriptions.  The NHS App can be downloaded from here for iPhone or here for android.

Alternatively, you can call the NHS helpline on 119 (from 17 May) and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine, the letter may to take up to 5 days to reach you.

Do not contact your GP surgery about your COVID-19 vaccination status. GPs cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.
