Delays to Diagnostic Imaging Reporting
Ipswich (and Colchester) Hospitals are presently experiencing serious problems with the software used to process and report the results of imaging investigations such as ultrasound, CT, X-Ray and MRI. There will be a delay of several weeks between your investigation and the report being available, but they will prioritise the reporting of clinically urgent investigations.
Please don't book an appointment to discuss the results of a scan or x-ray without first checking with our admin team that the report is available. Ultrasound scans performed by the community service (at Riverside or the Walton Clinic) are unaffected, as are all echocardiography scans.
Concerns would be best addressed to the hospital directly via the PALS service
